What it is
The Aothia Desk Protector Mat offers a sophisticated solution for those looking to upgrade their workspace without a heavy investment. Crafted from synthetic PU leather, this mat provides a firm yet comfortable surface that facilitates smooth mouse movement and fluid handwriting. Unlike standard rubber pads, its textured top layer resists liquid penetration and heat, ensuring your wooden or laminate desktop remains shielded from hot coffee mugs and ink spills. What sets this model apart is the thoughtful inclusion of a suede-like backing. This material choice significantly increases friction compared to basic plastic protectors, preventing the mat from sliding during intense typing sessions. Its thin profile allows it to blend seamlessly into your setup, providing just enough cushion to reduce wrist fatigue without feeling spongy or unstable for your keyboard.

How to get the most out of it
Flattening the Mat
If the edges curl after unrolling, roll the mat in the opposite direction for a few minutes. Alternatively, place heavy books on the corners overnight to ensure it sits perfectly flush with your desk.

Cleaning Instructions
Avoid using harsh chemical solvents which can strip the color from the PU leather. A simple damp microfiber cloth with a drop of mild dish soap is sufficient for most stains and dust.
tip
Heat Management
While the mat is heat resistant, avoid placing extremely hot items like boiling pots directly on it. It is designed to handle standard coffee mugs and laptop heat without warping.
