What it is
The ArmorSuit MilitaryShield offers a specialized TPU film solution for Garmin Forerunner 970 users who prioritize screen integrity without the bulk of tempered glass. Unlike rigid protectors that can shatter on impact, this flexible American made film utilizes a wet installation process to achieve a perfect contour. The self healing technology is a standout feature, as it actively works to eliminate minor surface abrasions and scuffs that occur during intense outdoor workouts or daily gym sessions. While the installation requires more patience than a standard peel and stick sticker, the result is a nearly invisible layer that preserves the watch's original touch sensitivity and display vibrance. The six pack bundle provides exceptional value, ensuring you have multiple replacements on hand if a protector becomes damaged during extreme activities. The oleophobic coating effectively resists fingerprints, keeping the data on your watch face legible even under direct sunlight or after a sweaty run.
Ravvy AI insight
For the Forerunner 970, TPU film is often superior to tempered glass because it adheres better to the slight curvature of the lens and won't crack during high intensity sports. The 4.3 rating across over 20,000 reviews suggests high reliability, but buyers should watch the installation video twice before starting to avoid the common mistake of using too much or too little solution.

Use Sufficient Solution
Don't be afraid to dampen your fingertips and the protector with the included spray. This allows you to slide the film into the perfect position before squeegeeing it down.
