What it is

The Backyard Discovery Buckley Hill serves as a perfect entry point for families seeking a durable wooden playset without sacrificing significant yard space. Crafted from 100 percent cedar wood, this set features a raised play deck sheltered by a colorful canopy, providing a shaded retreat for imaginative play. The combination of two belt swings with hand-friendly rope chains and a six-foot wave slide ensures that toddlers and young children have multiple outlets for physical activity. Beyond the physical components, this set incorporates a built-in chalkboard to encourage artistic expression outdoors. The rock wall ladder is specifically designed for smaller limbs, offering just enough challenge to build motor skills safely. Because the wood comes pre-cut and pre-stained, the assembly process is more manageable than traditional timber builds, especially when using the interactive BILT app for step-by-step visual guidance.

Ravvy AI insight

While the 150 kg weight capacity seems generous, the physical dimensions and 6 foot slide are best suited for children under 70 pounds. To maximize your investment, apply a waterproof sealant within the first month of assembly to prevent the cedar from weathering prematurely in humid climates.

How to get the most out of it

Leveling the Ground

Ensure your installation site is perfectly level before starting. A slight slope can put uneven stress on the cedar joints, leading to creaking or structural instability over time.

Ownership tips

care

Annual Maintenance

Cedar is naturally durable, but applying a clear water sealant once a year will prevent the wood from turning gray and protect it against moisture-related cracking.

tip

Hardware Inspection

Check and tighten all bolts after the first month of use and again at the start of every spring season. Wood naturally expands and contracts with temperature changes.
