What it is

The Caraway 12-Piece Ceramic Set prioritizes a cleaner cooking experience by using a mineral-based coating rather than traditional PTFE. This set stands out not just for its performance but for its thoughtful design. The heavy-gauge aluminum core ensures even heating, while the stainless steel handles remain secure during high-heat oven transitions up to 550 degrees Fahrenheit. It is a comprehensive starter kit that covers everything from quick morning eggs to slow-simmered stews. Beyond the pots themselves, Caraway solves the perennial problem of kitchen clutter. The included magnetic pan racks and canvas lid holder are game changers for organization, preventing the usual scratching that occurs when stacking pans in a drawer. While the cream finish is undeniably stylish, the real draw is the slick non-stick surface that requires very little oil, making it an excellent choice for health-conscious cooks who want a quick cleanup.

Ravvy AI insight

Caraway is a premium lifestyle play where you pay for both aesthetics and the unique storage solution. While the ceramic coating offers superior initial release compared to stainless steel, it requires strict adherence to low-to-medium heat settings to preserve the non-stick properties over time. This set is ideal for those moving away from traditional chemicals who are willing to trade the longevity of cast iron for the daily convenience of ceramic.

How to get the most out of it

Proper Cleaning Technique

Wait for the pans to cool completely before washing with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Thermal shock from cold water on a hot pan can warp the aluminum base.

Ownership tips

care

Avoid High Heat

Always cook on low to medium heat. Excessive temperatures can break down the ceramic coating quickly, causing food to stick and shortening the lifespan of your pans.

tip

Use Silicone Utensils

To prevent microscopic scratches on the ceramic surface, avoid metal spatulas or whisks. Wood, silicone, or plastic tools will keep the non-stick layer intact for years.

Frequently asked questions

Is Caraway cookware dishwasher safe?

While technically possible, it is strongly discouraged. The harsh chemicals in dishwasher detergents and the high-pressure spray can dull the finish and degrade the non-stick surface.

Can I use these pans on an induction stove?

Yes, the aluminum body is bonded to a stainless steel base plate, making this set fully compatible with induction, gas, and electric cooktops.

Do I need to use oil or butter with these pans?

A very small amount of oil or butter is recommended to enhance heat transfer and flavor. However, you will find you need significantly less than you would with traditional pans.

How do I store the lids properly?

The set includes a custom canvas lid holder with hooks. You can mount this on the inside of a cabinet door or a wall to keep your lids organized and out of the way.
