What it is

The COMHOMA Big and Tall Office Chair bridges the gap between traditional executive seating and modern gaming ergonomics. Engineered for users who need more room than standard office furniture provides, it features a generous 22 inch wide backrest and a high weight capacity of 400 pounds. The seat utilizes pocket springs similar to a premium mattress, offering a plush, sofa like feel that resists sagging better than standard foam blocks. Functional versatility is a core strength here, with a 150 degree recline and a hideaway footrest for mid day breaks. The adjustable armrests are a thoughtful addition, moving beyond the fixed designs typically found in this price bracket to accommodate different desk heights and arm lengths. While the faux leather and embossed detailing add a touch of executive flair, the heavy duty metal frame ensures the chair remains stable even at full tilt.

Ravvy AI insight

At this price point, the inclusion of pocket springs is rare and significantly increases the seat's lifespan compared to pure foam models. Buyers should prioritize checking their desk clearance for the rounded armrests, as the chair's overall width is substantial for compact home offices.

Optimize the Recline

Adjust the tension knob underneath the seat to match your body weight. This ensures the 150 degree recline feels controlled and prevents the chair from tipping back too quickly.

Ownership tips

care

Maintain the Faux Leather

Use a damp microfiber cloth to wipe down the surface weekly to prevent salt buildup from sweat. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners which can cause the faux leather to crack or peel prematurely.

tip

Check Bolt Tightness

Due to the heavy duty nature of this chair, check and tighten the armrest and base bolts every six months. Vibrations from movement can loosen hardware over time.

Frequently asked questions

What is the actual maximum weight capacity?

This chair is rated for up to 400 pounds, supported by a heavy duty metal frame and reinforced gas lift. It is specifically designed for big and tall users.

Is the footrest sturdy enough for daily use?

The footrest is designed for resting legs during recline rather than supporting full body weight. It uses metal rails for stability but should be retracted when standing up.

Does the seat use memory foam?

The seat combines memory foam with internal pocket springs. This hybrid design provides the initial softness of foam with the long term structural support of springs.

Are the armrests removable?

The armrests are a key part of the assembly and provide lateral stability. While they can be left off during build, it is not recommended as it may affect the chair's structural integrity.
