What it is

The Daogtc Metal Butterfly set brings a splash of watercolor-inspired vibrancy to dull surfaces. Each of the four pieces is crafted from lightweight yet durable iron, treated with a protective coating to resist fading and rust when exposed to the elements. The 9.6-inch wingspan makes these significant enough to stand alone on a bedroom wall or be grouped together as a focal point on a garden fence. Installation is remarkably straightforward thanks to dual hooks integrated into the back of each frame. These allow for secure mounting at various angles, giving you the flexibility to simulate flight across a patio or living room wall. While they are marketed for durability, the thin metal construction allows for slight bending of the wings to create a three-dimensional effect, though careful handling is required to avoid snapping the delicate antenna details.

Ravvy AI insight

At roughly two dollars and fifty cents per butterfly, this set offers exceptional value compared to single-piece garden center alternatives. The watercolor finish is the standout feature, but buyers should consider applying a clear UV-resistant spray if the product will face direct, harsh sunlight for more than six hours a day to prevent eventual chalking.

Create a 3D Effect

Gently pull the outer edges of the wings toward you while holding the center body flat. This creates a realistic shadow and depth when the butterfly is mounted on a flat surface.

Ownership tips

care

Sun Protection

While the paint is fade-resistant, a quick coat of clear outdoor-grade spray sealer once a year will keep the watercolor hues looking brand new in high-UV climates.

Mounting Options

Since these are very light, you can use small outdoor command hooks or even zip ties if mounting them to a chain-link fence instead of using nails.
