What it is

The DREO DR-HTF024S distinguishes itself in a crowded market through a unique telescopic design. While most tower fans are fixed in height, this model features a pedal-activated riser that adjusts from 40 to 45 inches. This small mechanical shift makes a significant difference for users who need to direct airflow specifically toward a high pillow top mattress or over the edge of a standing desk, areas where standard floor-level fans often miss the mark. Technically, the fan utilizes a DC motor to achieve an impressive 25-decibel noise floor on its lowest setting, making it one of the quietest options for light sleepers. Integration with the DREO app allows for granular control over nine speed settings and four distinct modes, including an Auto mode that responds to ambient conditions. With a 90-degree oscillation and a 45-foot reach, it moves enough volume to serve as a primary air circulator in medium-sized living rooms without the visual bulk of a traditional pedestal fan.

Ravvy AI insight

The real value here lies in the DC motor and the height pedal. Most tower fans at this price point use AC motors which are louder and less energy efficient; the DREO's 50-watt DC motor provides more speed steps and quieter operation. When buying, prioritize the app setup to unlock the 12-hour timer, as the physical remote lacks the same level of granular scheduling.

Ownership tips

tip

Placement for Max Airflow

Position the fan at least 12 inches away from walls or curtains. Because tower fans pull air from the rear, obstructing the intake will significantly reduce the wind velocity and increase the motor strain.

care

Cleaning the Grilles

Use a vacuum with a soft brush attachment every two weeks to clear dust from the intake and outlet grilles. This prevents dust buildup on the internal impeller, which keeps the operation quiet and the air fresh.
