What it is

The EcoNour Car Windshield Sun Shade stands out in the crowded automotive accessory market due to its high density 240T polyester construction. Unlike thinner alternatives, this material effectively reflects UV rays and prevents the greenhouse effect from turning your parked vehicle into an oven. The dual circle design features a clever overlapping center section, allowing it to adapt to various windshield shapes without leaving gaps near the rearview mirror. Practicality is the main driver behind this shade's popularity. It utilizes a steel wire frame that pops open instantly and can be twisted down into a compact circle for storage in the door pocket or seatback. While it requires a bit of technique to fold correctly on the first few tries, the temperature reduction for your dashboard and upholstery is immediate and noticeable during peak summer months.

Ravvy AI insight

When selecting a size, prioritize the height of your windshield over the width. The 8 inch overlap feature allows this medium model to fit narrower cars perfectly, but if your windshield is taller than 32 inches, you will experience sag. Check your vehicle's specific vertical measurement before purchasing to ensure the sun visors can properly anchor the top edge.

Ownership tips

tip

Secure the Top Edge

Always flip your car's built in sun visors down after placing the shade against the glass. This provides the necessary tension to keep the shade flush against the windshield and prevents it from slipping down.

care

Cleaning the Reflective Surface

Wipe the silver side with a damp microfiber cloth if it becomes dusty. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners which can degrade the reflective UV coating over time.
