What it is

The Fitbit Air represents a significant shift for users who want sophisticated health metrics without the distraction of a glowing screen. By removing the display, Fitbit has created a wearable that looks more like a modern accessory than a piece of tech. The Performance Loop Band ensures a snug, micro-adjustable fit that stays comfortable during intense workouts or while you sleep, allowing the sensors to maintain consistent skin contact for accurate data collection. Beneath the obsidian exterior, the device packs advanced sensors for heart rate, skin temperature, and blood oxygen levels. It leans heavily into the Google Health ecosystem, utilizing AI-driven insights to help you understand your recovery and activity patterns. Because there is no power-hungry screen, the battery easily lasts a full week, and a mere five-minute charge provides enough power to get you through an entire day.

Ravvy AI insight

The Fitbit Air excels in sleep tracking accuracy because its low profile minimizes movement during the night. However, be aware that the lack of onboard GPS means you must carry your phone for mapped outdoor workouts, which is the primary trade-off for its sleek form factor.
