What it is

The FlexiSpot E6 brings a touch of nature to the home office with its FSC certified solid bamboo desktop. Unlike cheaper laminate alternatives, this surface uses lateral compression technology to showcase the natural grain while providing a surface that is remarkably resistant to scratches and spills. The 55 by 28 inch dimensions offer a generous workspace that can comfortably accommodate two monitors and several peripherals without feeling cramped. Beneath the bamboo exterior lies a robust dual motor system and a three stage leg design. This configuration allows for a wider range of motion than standard two stage desks, reaching a low of 24.4 inches and a high of 48.8 inches. The lift mechanism operates at a whisper quiet 45 decibels, meaning you can adjust your position during a video call or late at night without causing a disturbance. It handles a 220 pound load with ease, ensuring your expensive hardware stays stable throughout the transition.

Ravvy AI insight

The three stage leg design is the standout technical feature here as it provides better stability at max height compared to two stage models. Buyers should prioritize this E6 model if they are taller than 6 feet or if they plan to use the desk on carpet where wobble is more prevalent. Given the bamboo top is a natural material, users should avoid placing it in direct sunlight for long periods to prevent slight color fading over several years.

Cable Management Planning

Since the desk moves, ensure your computer and monitor cables have enough slack to reach the highest setting. Consider using a cable tray or adhesive clips to keep cords organized and prevent snagging.

care

Maintaining the Bamboo Top

Clean the surface with a soft, damp cloth and avoid harsh chemical cleaners that can strip the natural finish. Use coasters for hot drinks to prevent ring marks on the bamboo grain.

Frequently asked questions

Is the bamboo top a single piece or two panels?

The FlexiSpot E6 features a whole piece solid bamboo desktop. This provides a smoother writing surface and a more premium look than desks that use two separate boards joined in the middle.

A 3-stage frame offers a wider range of height adjustment compared to a 2-stage frame. It can go lower for shorter users and higher for tall users, while providing better stability at the top end.

Does it come with tools for assembly?

Yes, the package includes the basic installation tools and wires needed. However, having your own screwdriver can make the process faster and more comfortable during the initial setup.
