What it is

The FLUESTON LCD Writing Tablet serves as a modern, mess-free alternative to traditional crayons and paper. Featuring a 10 inch colorful screen, it uses pressure-sensitive technology to create vibrant lines that vary in thickness depending on how hard the child presses. It is an ideal companion for long car rides or quiet time at home, allowing kids to practice handwriting or doodle without leaving ink stains on furniture or walls. The device is remarkably lightweight at just 6 ounces, making it easy for a three year old to carry in a backpack. The inclusion of a lock switch prevents accidental deletions of a child's masterpiece, while the single-tap erase button provides a fresh canvas instantly. Since the screen is not self-illuminating and mimics the reflective properties of paper, it reduces eye strain compared to traditional tablets or smartphones.

Ravvy AI insight

While marketed as a toy, this tablet excels as a low-cost communication tool for non-verbal children or a temporary kitchen notepad. The battery-only power draw occurs during the erase function, meaning one CR2025 cell can last up to a year under normal use. Prioritize using the included tether for the stylus, as the pen is easily misplaced and replacements are not standard.

Use the Stylus String

Always use the included lanyard to attach the stylus to the tablet. Because the pen is slim and light, it can easily slide under car seats or be misplaced in toy boxes.

care

Cleaning the Surface

Wipe the screen with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or excessive water, as the LCD panel is sensitive to moisture.

Frequently asked questions

Can you save the drawings to a computer?

No, this tablet does not have internal storage or Bluetooth connectivity. If you want to keep a drawing, you will need to take a photograph of the screen with a smartphone.

Does it require charging?

It does not require a USB charger. It runs on a single CR2025 button battery which powers the erase function, typically lasting for about 12 months before needing replacement.

Is the screen bright enough to see in the dark?

The tablet is not backlit, which makes it safer for eyes but means it cannot be seen in a dark room. It relies on reflected light, similar to a standard piece of paper.

Can children use their fingers to draw?

While the stylus is recommended for precision, any pointed object or even a fingernail can create lines on the pressure-sensitive surface. However, sharp objects should be avoided to prevent scratching.
