What it is

The FUNNYB&G Foil Art Craft Kit offers a refreshingly clean alternative to traditional glitter and glue projects. By using a peel, press, and reveal method, children can decorate pre-designed sticky canvases with vibrant metallic foil sheets. The process is intuitive enough for preschoolers but detailed enough to keep elementary students engaged, providing a satisfying tactile experience that results in professional looking artwork every time. This kit is particularly well suited for environments where you cannot afford a mess, such as long car rides or waiting rooms. With 16 foil art boards and 80 colorful sheets, it provides a generous amount of material to keep multiple children busy or to span across several rainy afternoons. The inclusion of bonus coloring cards and a twist crayon adds extra value, ensuring the creative play continues even after the foil sheets are exhausted.

Ravvy AI insight

While most craft kits require adult supervision to manage glue or scissors, this kit is a true independent activity for ages 4 and up. The high volume of foil sheets relative to the number of boards is a strategic plus, allowing for mistakes or heavy layering without running out of materials. For the best result, teach the child to rub the foil firmly with their thumb before peeling to ensure complete metallic transfer.

How to get the most out of it

Organize by Color

Before starting a project, help your child sort the 80 foil sheets by color. This prevents them from digging through the pile with sticky fingers and helps them plan their artistic pattern for the princess or unicorn designs.

Ownership tips

tip

Ensure Full Transfer

For the most vibrant results, have your child use a flat fingernail or the side of the included crayon to rub the foil sheet firmly against the sticky surface before peeling it back. This ensures the metallic layer adheres perfectly to the edges.

Storage Advice

Keep the foil sheets inside the box or a sealed folder when not in use. Humidity or heat can occasionally make the sheets stick together, so a cool, dry place is best for maintaining the adhesive quality of the art boards.

Frequently asked questions

Is glue required for the foil to stick?

No glue is required at all. The art boards have pre-cut shapes with a sticky adhesive surface underneath a protective paper layer. You simply peel the paper and press the foil on.

Can this be used on a plane or in a car?

Yes, it is one of the best activities for travel. Because there are no loose parts like beads, no liquids, and no sharp tools, it can be used easily on a small tray table without creating a mess for flight attendants or parents.

What age group is this best for?

While the manufacturer suggests 4 and up, children aged 5 to 8 usually get the most enjoyment out of it. Younger children may need help peeling the initial paper tabs, but they can easily handle the foil pressing themselves.

What happens if a child puts the wrong color foil down?

Once the foil is pressed onto the sticky section, it transfers the color permanently. However, since the kit comes with so many sheets, they can often layer a different color on top or simply incorporate the mistake into a multicolored design.
