Ravvy verdict
87.6 / 100
At its current price point, this chair offers exceptional value specifically because of the metal base and FSC certified internals, which are rare for under one hundred dollars. Prospective buyers should note the 250 pound weight limit, which suggests the lift mechanism is optimized for average builds rather than heavy duty use. The white upholstery requires more frequent cleaning to maintain its look, but the metal construction ensures the frame will likely outlast the synthetic leather surface.

What it is
The GTPLAYER Gaming Chair positions itself as a luxury aesthetic solution for budget conscious setups. Dressed in a striking Pearl White faux leather, this model eschews the typical plastic base found in entry level seating for a robust metal frame and base. The chair is designed to provide full body support through a high backrest, adjustable lumbar pillow, and a dedicated headrest, making it a viable option for both intense gaming sessions and standard office work. Functionality is a core focus here, highlighted by the inclusion of a pull out footrest that allows for a deep recline. While many chairs in this price bracket compromise on padding, this model features padded armrests that extend from elbow to wrist, ensuring comfort during long periods of typing or controller use. The FSC certified wood support within the cushion adds a layer of structural integrity that is often overlooked in mass market furniture.

How to get the most out of it
Optimizing Lumbar Support
Position the lumbar pillow so it sits in the natural curve of your lower back rather than at the very bottom of the seat. This encourages a natural S-curve in your spine and reduces slouching during long sessions.
Ownership tips
care
Maintaining White Leather
To prevent permanent staining on the Pearl White surface, wipe the chair down weekly with a damp microfiber cloth. Avoid wearing dark indigo denim while sitting for long periods, as dye transfer is common on light synthetic leathers.
tip
Bolt Tightening
Like most flat pack furniture, the bolts can loosen over time due to frequent movement. Re-tighten all assembly screws every six months to ensure the chair remains silent and stable.
Frequently asked questions
What is the maximum weight capacity for this chair?
The manufacturer recommends a maximum weight of 250 pounds. Exceeding this limit may put undue stress on the gas lift and the metal base, potentially shortening the lifespan of the product.
Is the footrest sturdy enough for daily use?
The footrest is designed for resting your legs while in a reclined position. It uses metal rails for support, but it is not intended to support your full body weight or to be used as a step.
Does the chair work well on carpeted floors?
The included casters are designed for hard floors but will work on low pile carpets. For high pile or plush carpeting, a chair mat is recommended to ensure smooth swiveling and to protect the carpet fibers.
How long does assembly typically take?
Most users report that assembly takes between 20 to 45 minutes. The package includes all necessary tools and a detailed instruction manual to guide you through the process.
