What it is

The Hisense PT1 brings the cinema experience into smaller living spaces by utilizing an ultra short throw lens that can project a massive 150 inch image from just inches away. Unlike traditional lamp projectors, its triple laser light source delivers a wide color gamut that satisfies IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Vision standards. The inclusion of Google TV makes this a true smart hub, eliminating the need for external streaming sticks while providing a clean and personalized interface for every family member. Gamers will find particular value in the 240Hz high refresh rate mode, which minimizes input lag and motion blur during intense play sessions. While its 2500 ANSI lumens provide enough punch for dimly lit rooms, the 3000:1 contrast ratio ensures that dark scenes maintain depth rather than looking washed out. The unit is remarkably compact for its output, weighing under 16 pounds and sporting a sleek gunmetal finish that blends into modern decor without looking like a piece of office equipment.

Ravvy AI insight

The PT1 occupies a sweet spot in the market by offering triple laser color accuracy at a lower price point than premium UST competitors. To maximize the 3000:1 contrast, pairing this with an Ambient Light Rejecting screen is highly recommended as wall projection will significantly degrade the black levels.

Use an ALR Screen

For the best image quality, use a dedicated Ambient Light Rejecting screen. This prevents the ceiling light from washing out the colors and significantly improves contrast.

care

Ventilation Maintenance

Keep the side vents clear of dust and obstruction. Proper airflow is critical for laser longevity and maintaining quiet fan operation during long movies.
