What it is

The IMILLET Mop and Broom Holder offers a straightforward solution for reclaiming floor space in crowded utility rooms or garages. Featuring five spring-loaded rolling ball slots and six folding hooks, this unit relies on friction to secure handles of varying thicknesses. The ABS plastic construction is lightweight yet resilient enough for indoor or sheltered outdoor use, making it a versatile choice for organizing anything from microfiber mops to garden rakes. Installation requires a drill, as this model utilizes a traditional screw and anchor system for maximum stability. Unlike adhesive versions that often fail under the weight of wet mops, this wall-mounted rack is rated for a total capacity of 50 pounds when properly anchored. The dual-pack configuration is particularly valuable for larger households, allowing one rack for indoor kitchen tools and another for heavy-duty yard equipment in the shed.

Ravvy AI insight

While the 6.5-pound per slot rating is generous, the rolling ball mechanism performs best on textured or rubberized handles rather than smooth stainless steel. If your tools are exceptionally heavy or slick, consider positioning them so the tool head rests against the bottom of the slot for extra security.

How to get the most out of it

Proper Mounting Technique

Use a level during installation to ensure the rack is perfectly horizontal. This prevents tools from leaning and ensures the gravity-fed rolling balls grip the handles evenly across all five slots.

Ownership tips

tip

Maximizing Grip on Smooth Poles

If you have a very smooth metal handle that slides, wrap a small piece of electrical tape around the handle at the contact point. This provides the friction needed for the rubber balls to lock into place.

care

Cleaning the Grippers

Over time, dust can reduce the effectiveness of the rubber rollers. Wipe the rolling balls with a damp cloth and a mild degreaser to maintain their tacky surface and grip strength.

Frequently asked questions

Can this be installed on a hollow drywall?

Yes, the kit includes plastic anchors designed for drywall. However, for maximum weight capacity, we recommend securing at least one side of the rack into a wooden wall stud.

Will it hold a heavy commercial wet mop?

The slots are rated for up to 6.5 pounds each. A standard commercial mop is usually fine, but ensure you wring it out first, as water weight can significantly increase the load.

Do the hooks stay out of the way when not in use?

Yes, the six hooks are designed to fold up flush against the rack. You can pull them down individually only when you need to hang a brush, dustpan, or towel.

What is the diameter range for the tool handles?

The spring-loaded rollers are designed to accommodate handles between 0.75 inches and 1.25 inches in diameter, covering most standard household brooms and garden tools.
