What it is

The Jura Smart Connect Bluetooth adapter is a specialized hardware bridge designed to modernize specific Jura automatic coffee machines. By plugging this compact transmitter into the service port, you unlock the ability to customize beverage strengths, volumes, and temperatures directly from the J.O.E. app on your smartphone or tablet. It transforms the often rigid onboard interface into a dynamic, visual menu that is much easier to navigate for complex programming. Beyond simple remote brewing, this accessory provides a more intuitive way to manage maintenance alerts and technical settings. It is particularly useful for households with multiple users who each have distinct preferences, as it allows individuals to save their specific recipes to their own mobile devices. While newer high-end Jura models often include this functionality natively, this peripheral is an essential upgrade for owners of older D, E, and S series machines looking for a contemporary digital experience.

Ravvy AI insight

Before purchasing, verify your specific machine's production year as Jura updated internal ports on several models after 2018. This device is most effective for users who find the standard machine display too small or difficult to navigate for fine-tuning milk-to-coffee ratios.

Frequently asked questions

Does this work with all Jura machines?

No, it is strictly compatible with specific models like the D6, E6, E8 (pre-2019), J6, S8, and Z6. Newer models like the GIGA 6 often have this hardware built-in already.

Can I use this and the Cool Control wireless milk cooler at the same time?

Generally, no, because most Jura machines only have one service port. You must choose between the Smart Connect transmitter or the wireless milk level transmitter.

Do I need this to use the J.O.E. app?

Yes, for the compatible machines listed, this hardware is the only way to establish a bridge between the machine's processor and the mobile application.
