What it is

The KITEVICH 3 Pack Magnet Pick-up Tool Set is a specialized solution for the common frustration of dropped hardware. This set distinguishes itself by offering three distinct geometries: a heavy-duty 15-pound telescopic wand for substantial tools, a compact 1-pound pen-style reacher for precision work, and a 24-inch flexible spring-steel retriever. This variety ensures that whether a screw falls behind a heavy HVAC unit or deep into a complex engine bay, you have a tool shaped for the specific obstacle. The build quality focuses on utility over aesthetics. The telescopic wands feature non-slip rubber grips and integrated pocket clips for accessibility, while the flexible retriever uses a wound-steel spring that maintains its shape even when snaked around corners. While the 15-pound rating is a theoretical maximum for flat surfaces, the actual lifting power is more than sufficient for standard shop tools like hammers or large wrenches, making this a reliable backup for professional mechanics and home DIY enthusiasts alike.

Ravvy AI insight

The real value here is the flexible spring tool, which reaches places straight telescopic wands cannot. When using the 15-pound wand, ensure the magnetic head makes full, flat contact with the object to maximize lifting force. At this price point, having three distinct reach profiles provides much better coverage than a single high-power magnet.

Ownership tips

tip

Clean the Magnetic Tip

Wipe away metal shavings or dust from the magnetic head regularly. Debris buildup acts as a spacer, which significantly reduces the effective lifting power of the magnet.

care

Maintain Telescoping Joints

If the telescopic sections become difficult to extend, apply a tiny drop of dry silicone lubricant. Avoid thick greases that can attract dirt and cause the joints to jam over time.

Frequently asked questions

Will these magnets pick up aluminum or brass screws?

No, these are magnetic tools designed to attract ferrous metals like steel and iron. Aluminum, brass, and most stainless steel alloys are non-magnetic and will not be picked up by these tools.

Can the 15-pound tool actually lift a 15-pound weight?

The 15-pound rating refers to the vertical pull force under ideal conditions with full contact on a thick, flat steel plate. In practical use, it is designed to securely lift heavy hand tools like large wrenches or hammers.

Does the flexible tool stay bent in the position I put it?

Yes, the 24-inch flexible retriever is made of wound-steel that is designed to be bent into various shapes and hold that position, allowing you to snake it through complex engine components.

Is the smallest tool small enough for a pocket?

Absolutely. The 1-pound tool collapses to 4.5 inches and includes a pen-style pocket clip, making it perfect for carrying in a work shirt or a tool belt loop.
