What it is

The LEVEL8 Grace represents a modern approach to the traditional carry-on by integrating a dedicated front-access laptop sleeve directly into the hardshell frame. This design solves the common headache of digging through clothes at security checkpoints, keeping tech up to 15.6 inches separate and protected. The micro diamond texture on the PC and ABS blend exterior serves a dual purpose, offering a sleek aesthetic while actively hiding the scuffs and scratches that inevitably occur during transit. Inside, the suitcase balances structure and flexibility. The expandable zipper adds nearly two inches of depth, transitioning the bag from a strict airline-compliant flyer to a high-capacity weekend hauler. While the addition of the laptop compartment and the expansion hardware brings the base weight to 9 pounds, the eight rubberized spinner wheels provide enough glide to minimize the physical strain of navigating crowded terminals or uneven sidewalks.

Ravvy AI insight

The real value here is the mechanical integration of the front pocket which usually compromises shell integrity in cheaper bags, but LEVEL8 maintains a sturdy frame. Buyers should note that fully packing the expansion gusset might make the front laptop compartment a tight squeeze, so prioritize tech placement before overstuffing the main cavity.

Frequently asked questions

Does this luggage fit in overhead bins?

Yes, at 21.8 inches tall, it is designed to meet the standard carry-on requirements for most major domestic and international airlines. However, if you use the expansion zipper, you should check specific airline depth limits.

Is the front laptop pocket padded?

The compartment features a protective divider that keeps your laptop separate from your clothing. While the hardshell provides impact resistance, using a slim sleeve for extra cushion is a common preference for high-end electronics.

How much does the expansion add?

The expansion zipper adds approximately 1.57 inches of depth. This increases the total packing volume from 36 liters to 42 liters, which is perfect for bringing home souvenirs.

What is the shell made of?

It uses a hybrid of Polycarbonate and ABS plastic with a three layer construction. This blend is designed to be more flexible than pure ABS, meaning it is less likely to crack under pressure.
