What it is

The Levoit Vital 100S-P is a versatile mid-range air purifier specifically designed to tackle the unique challenges of pet-owning households. Its standout feature is the U-shaped air inlet, which prevents large clumps of pet fur from clogging the internal HEPA filter. By utilizing a washable pre-filter, this unit helps users save on long-term maintenance costs while maintaining high airflow across rooms up to 1073 square feet. Technological integration is a core strength of this model, featuring the VeSync app for remote scheduling and real-time air quality monitoring. The inclusion of a light sensor allows the machine to automatically enter a dimmed Sleep Mode when the lights go out, ensuring that the 25dB operation won't disrupt your rest. It is a compact yet powerful solution for bedrooms and dorm rooms where space is at a premium but air quality is a priority.

Ravvy AI insight

The Vital 100S-P bridges the gap between basic desktop units and expensive console purifiers. While its AHAM verification ensures its performance is scientifically backed, the real value lies in the washable pre-filter which significantly extends the life of the more expensive HEPA media. For the best experience, utilize the Auto Mode to let the infrared sensor manage fan speeds based on detected particulates.

How to get the most out of it

Calibrate the Air Sensor

If the air quality indicator seems stuck, gently clean the infrared sensor on the side of the unit with a dry cotton swab. Dust buildup on the lens can cause inaccurate readings and inefficient Auto Mode performance.

Ownership tips

care

Clean the Pre-Filter Regularly

To maintain optimal airflow and prevent the motor from straining, vacuum or wash the permanent pre-filter every two to four weeks. Ensure it is completely dry before sliding it back into the unit to prevent mold growth.

tip

Placement for Pet Hair

Position the unit on the floor near your pet's favorite lounging area. The U-shaped inlet is designed to grab low-floating fur and dander before it settles into your carpets or upholstery.
