What it is

The Loftilla Smart Scale sets itself apart from the crowded field of budget body composition tools by prioritizing immediate feedback. While most affordable smart scales force you to open a mobile app just to see your BMI or muscle mass, this model features an oversized 5.4 inch LED screen that cycles through eight key health metrics directly on the glass. This makes it an excellent choice for users who want to track their progress without the constant distraction of a smartphone during their morning routine. Technically, the scale uses Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) via four enlarged electrodes to estimate body composition. The build is compact at 11 by 11 inches, featuring a sleek black tempered glass finish that fits easily into small bathrooms. The accompanying Feelfit app handles the heavy lifting for long term data, syncing seamlessly with major ecosystems like Apple Health and Fitbit to ensure your weight loss or muscle building journey is well documented over months and years.

Ravvy AI insight

This scale hits the sweet spot for multi-user households due to its automatic recognition feature and secondary Athlete Mode which adjusts algorithms for high muscle density. Pay close attention to the surface requirements as its high sensitivity sensors are prone to error on even thin carpets. Buy this if you value seeing more than just your weight during the 10 seconds you stand on the platform.

Ownership tips

tip

Use Athlete Mode Correctly

If you exercise more than 10 hours a week and have a low resting heart rate, toggle Athlete Mode in the Feelfit app settings. This adjusts the BIA calculation to better account for high muscle density.

care

Cleaning the Electrodes

Wipe the glass surface with a slightly damp cloth to keep the metal electrodes clean. Oil buildup from feet can occasionally interfere with the electrical impedance signal.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use this scale without my phone?

Yes, you can see 8 core metrics including weight, body fat, and muscle mass directly on the large LED display. The data will sync to the app the next time your phone is within Bluetooth range.

Is it safe to use during pregnancy?

The manufacturer recommends that pregnant women should not use the body fat measurement function. While the weight function works, the electrical current used for composition analysis is not advised.

How many users can it track?

The scale supports unlimited users through the Feelfit app. It is smart enough to recognize which family member is standing on it based on previous weight and body composition history.
