What it is

The Logitech G305 Lightspeed represents a shift in gaming peripherals where performance no longer requires a cable or a massive budget. By utilizing the HERO sensor, this mouse provides tracking accuracy that rivals high end wired models while maintaining extreme power efficiency. Its simple six button layout and egg shaped chassis offer a familiar feel that appeals to both casual users and competitive players who prefer a claw or fingertip grip. What sets this mouse apart is its focus on utility and longevity. Eschewing flashy RGB lighting in favor of extended battery life, it can run for months on a single AA battery. The internal storage for the USB receiver makes it a reliable companion for laptop users who need a high performance tool that can survive being tossed into a backpack without a second thought.

Ravvy AI insight

While marketed as a budget mouse, the G305 uses the same Lightspeed wireless protocol as Logitech's flagship models, meaning there is zero latency difference. To optimize this for competitive play, many enthusiasts use a AAA battery with a small converter to drop the weight even further below the stock 99 grams.
