What it is

Meguiar's Gold Class Quik Detailer serves as the bridge between full wash cycles, designed specifically for enthusiasts who demand a show-car shine daily. Its high-lubricity formula allows it to lift light dust, fingerprints, and bird droppings safely without scratching the clear coat. Unlike harsh cleaners, this spray is chemically formulated to preserve existing wax layers, acting as a topper that deepens the visual depth of the paint rather than stripping it away. While this product works on all colors, it is specifically optimized for black and dark-colored vehicles where imperfections and lack of depth are most visible. The application is a simple mist-and-wipe process that leaves behind a slick surface and a wet-look finish. It is an essential tool for maintaining a vehicle's aesthetic between deep cleanings, provided the car is only lightly soiled.

Ravvy AI insight

This detailer stands out for its high lubricity, which significantly reduces the risk of micro-marring on soft clear coats. For the best value, use it as a drying aid by spraying it on a wet car before towel drying to minimize friction and add instant gloss.

How to get the most out of it

The Two-Towel Method

Use one microfiber towel to spread the product and lift contaminants, then immediately follow with a second dry, clean towel to buff the surface to a high gloss. This prevents streaking and ensures a uniform finish.

Ownership tips

tip

Use as a Drying Aid

After washing your car, spray a light mist over the wet panels before drying with a large microfiber towel. The lubricity helps the towel glide easier and prevents water spots from forming.

care

Avoid Hot Surfaces

Always apply the detailer to a surface that is cool to the touch and in the shade. Applying it to hot paint causes the liquid to evaporate too quickly, which can lead to stubborn streaks.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use this if my car is very dirty?

No, this product is intended for light dust, fingerprints, and fresh bird droppings only. Using it on a heavily soiled car without a full wash can lead to scratching the paint as dirt is dragged across the surface.

Will this remove my existing wax?

No, the Gold Class Quik Detailer is specifically designed to be pH balanced and wax-safe. It is intended to boost and preserve your current wax layer rather than stripping it away.

Is it safe for matte or flat finishes?

This product is formulated for glossy finishes and clear coats. Using it on matte or satin wraps and paints may result in an unwanted patchy shine or gloss spots.

Does this provide UV protection?

While it helps maintain the health of your paint by removing contaminants, it provides minimal UV protection compared to a dedicated wax or sealant. Use it as a supplement to your regular protection routine.
