What it is

Method All-Purpose Cleaner in Citron is a versatile sanitizing spray that bridges the gap between harsh chemical disinfectants and natural surface cleaners. Utilizing citric acid as its primary active ingredient, it effectively eliminates 99.9 percent of common household germs, including staphylococcus and influenza. The formula is specifically engineered to tackle stubborn grease and grime without the use of parabens or phthalates, making it a staple for high-traffic food prep areas. Unlike many conventional cleaners that leave behind a medicinal scent, the Citron fragrance provides a bright, citrus-forward aroma that lingers without becoming overwhelming. The spray bottle design is ergonomic and delivers a consistent mist, allowing for even coverage on large surfaces like stone countertops and cabinet doors. While it is tough on microbes, it remains gentle enough for daily use on a variety of non-porous surfaces across the home.

Ravvy AI insight

While marketed as all-purpose, the citric acid base makes this particularly effective at breaking down soap scum and hard water spots compared to standard soap-based cleaners. For the best antibacterial results, ensure the surface stays visibly wet for at least ten minutes before wiping to meet the full disinfection criteria.

Avoid Streaks on Shine

On highly polished surfaces like stainless steel or granite, follow your cleaning with a dry microfiber cloth. This extra step removes any residue left by the citric acid for a mirror-like finish.

care

Check Surface Compatibility

While safe for sealed stone, the acidic nature of this cleaner can etch unsealed marble or limestone. Always test a small, inconspicuous area before applying it to the entire surface.
