What it is

The PUR Plus Faucet-Mount System offers a streamlined way to upgrade your kitchen tap without permanent plumbing changes. Its advanced 3-in-1 filtration technology is a standout in this price bracket, specifically targeting heavy metals like lead and microplastics that many basic pitcher filters miss. The vertical orientation is designed to minimize the footprint on your sink, providing a steady flow of filtered water for drinking and cooking while allowing you to toggle back to unfiltered water for washing dishes. Durability and convenience define this model, featuring a built-in Electronic Filter Change Light that takes the guesswork out of maintenance. While the plastic construction is lightweight, the tool-free installation makes it accessible for renters or those who are not particularly handy. It effectively bridges the gap between expensive under-sink systems and bulky countertop pitchers, delivering crisp water directly from the spout.

Ravvy AI insight

This unit offers one of the best cost-to-performance ratios for lead reduction currently on the market. Prioritize this model if your local water report shows heavy metal concerns, but ensure your faucet has a standard aerator as it will not fit modern pull-out sprayers. For the best experience, always toggle to the 'unfiltered' setting when using hot water to prevent damaging the filter membrane.
