What it is

The Signature Design by Ashley Clare View Sofa brings a refined indoor aesthetic to the patio or poolside. Crafted from solid eucalyptus wood, this three-seater is finished with a specialized five-step protective coating that highlights the natural grain while resisting moisture and UV damage. The frame features elegant slat styling and tapered legs, offering a sophisticated look that avoids the bulkiness of traditional wicker outdoor furniture. Comfort is prioritized through plush cushions wrapped in Nuvella fabric, a high-performance polyester designed to stay vibrant despite sun exposure and heavy rain. Unlike cheaper outdoor seating, the cushions are zippered for easy maintenance and include four matching throw pillows to complete the set. While it requires assembly, the resulting structure is sturdy enough to support a 600-pound weight capacity, making it a reliable hub for outdoor hosting and relaxation.

Ravvy AI insight

While eucalyptus is a dense and hardy hardwood similar to teak, it requires consistent annual oiling to prevent the finish from silvering or cracking over time. This sofa is a value leader because it utilizes Nuvella fabric, which typically outperforms standard polyester in bleach-cleanability and color retention, making it safer for families with pets or messy outdoor dining habits.

How to get the most out of it

Cleaning Stubborn Stains

For tough outdoor grime or mildew, use a solution of one cup bleach to one gallon of water with mild soap. The Nuvella fabric is solution-dyed, meaning it can handle diluted bleach without losing its color.

Ownership tips

care

Maintain the Wood Finish

To keep the warm honey color of the eucalyptus, apply a specialized outdoor wood oil once a year. This prevents the natural silvering process and keeps the wood from drying out in direct sun.

tip

Storage During Off-Season

While the sofa is weather-resistant, covering it during winter months or heavy storms will significantly extend the life of the Nuvella cushions and prevent water spots on the frame.

Is the eucalyptus wood sustainably sourced?

Ashley uses high-quality eucalyptus which is known for being a fast-growing and sustainable hardwood choice for outdoor furniture. It offers similar durability to teak at a more accessible price point.
