What it is

Stardrops The Pink Stuff is a heavy duty abrasive paste designed to handle the jobs that standard liquid sprays cannot. Unlike runny cleaners, this thick pink formula clings to vertical surfaces like oven doors and shower tiles, using a mild abrasive action to physically lift burnt food, limescale, and surface rust. It has earned a massive following for its ability to restore cookware and outdoor furniture to near new condition without the harsh chemical odor typical of industrial degreasers. While marketed as a miracle worker, users should remember that its power comes from physical grit. It excels on hard surfaces like ceramic and glass, but it requires a gentle hand on delicate finishes. The 17.6 ounce tub offers significant value because the concentrated paste format means you only need a small dab to cover a large area. It is a reliable staple for deep cleaning days when chemical dissolving isn't enough and you need a bit of mechanical leverage.

Ravvy AI insight

The high owner sentiment is driven by the visible 'before and after' results on grout and oven glass, but be aware that the abrasive nature can dull glossy surfaces over time. For the best balance of safety and efficacy, always use a soft sponge rather than a scouring pad when applying this paste to avoid micro-scratches.

How to get the most out of it

Applying for Best Results

Use a damp microfiber cloth or a soft sponge to apply the paste in a circular motion. Applying too much pressure isn't always necessary; let the grit in the paste do the work for you.

Ownership tips

tip

Avoid White Streaks

Because this is a solid paste, it can leave a powdery residue if not rinsed thoroughly. Always wipe down the surface with a clean, wet cloth after scrubbing to ensure a streak free shine.

care

Keep the Lid Tight

Ensure the plastic lid is fully snapped shut after every use. If the paste dries out, it becomes difficult to spread, though adding a few drops of water can often revive it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use The Pink Stuff on glass stovetops?

Yes, it is highly effective at removing burnt-on rings from glass cooktops. However, use a soft cloth and light pressure to ensure you do not scratch the glass surface.

Is it safe for stainless steel sinks?

Does it have a strong chemical smell?

No, one of its best features is a light, fruity rhubarb scent. It provides a much more pleasant cleaning experience than bleach-based or ammonia-based cleaners.

Will it remove rust from garden furniture?
