What it is

The Super Blanky moves beyond the typical sleeved blanket design by incorporating unique pocket sleeves and a generously oversized 70 by 60 inch footprint. Constructed from high density plush fleece, it provides the weight of a heavy throw while allowing the wearer to use their hands freely for reading or remote control use. Unlike bulky hoodies, this design lays flat when not in use, making it easier to transition from a wearable garment to a standard couch throw. Its utility extends to cold offices and hospital settings where ease of movement and warmth are equally prioritized. The Aspen Gray aesthetic is neutral enough to suit any living room decor, avoiding the costume like appearance of bright novelty wearables. The fabric maintains its loft after repeated machine washing, though careful adherence to low heat drying is necessary to keep the velvet finish from pilling or thinning over time.

Ravvy AI insight

When comparing this to traditional hooded blankets, the lack of a back closure means better ventilation but less heat retention if you are standing up. For the best experience, prioritize this for seated activities like gaming or reading rather than walking around the house, as the 70 inch length can become a tripping hazard for anyone under 5 foot 5 inches.

How to get the most out of it

Maximizing Mobility

When walking, tuck the excess bottom fabric over one arm like a gown to prevent tripping. The 70 inch length is designed for seated coverage, so it will likely touch the floor for most adults while standing.

Ownership tips

care

Avoid High Heat

To keep the plush fibers from melting or becoming scratchy, always tumble dry on the lowest possible heat setting or air dry. Excessive heat is the primary cause of fleece losing its signature soft feel.

tip

Static Management

Synthetic fleece can build up static in dry winter months. Use a dryer sheet or a small amount of fabric softener during the wash cycle to reduce sparks and hair cling.
