What it is

The Sweetcrispy 28-Inch Checked Luggage targets the budget-conscious traveler who needs maximum volume without the heavy price tag. Built from ABS plastic, this suitcase prioritizes a lightweight feel to help you stay under airline weight limits while providing a rigid exterior to protect your belongings from basic impacts. The interior is thoughtfully divided with mesh compartments and X-straps, allowing for organized packing during longer trips. Functionality is supported by a 360-degree dual-wheel system that glides well on smooth airport floors, though it may require more effort on thick carpets or uneven pavement. The inclusion of a TSA-approved lock and an expandable zipper adds significant value, offering security for international transit and extra room for souvenirs. While it lacks the ultra-premium feel of polycarbonate alternatives, it serves as a reliable workhorse for occasional vacationers.

Ravvy AI insight

At its current price point, this bag offers one of the best size-to-cost ratios available. However, because ABS is more prone to stress marks than polycarbonate, we recommend using this for checked baggage only if it is packed full to provide internal support against crushing.

Ownership tips

tip

Maximize Shell Longevity

To prevent the ABS plastic from cracking under pressure, try to pack the suitcase relatively full. Empty space inside a hardshell bag makes it more susceptible to caving in during rough airport handling.

care

Cleaning Scuff Marks

Hard shells like this one often pick up dark scuffs from conveyor belts. Use a melamine sponge or a damp cloth with mild soap to gently buff out marks after your flight.

Frequently asked questions

Is this suitcase large enough for a two-week trip?

Yes, the 28-inch size is standard for checked luggage and generally holds enough clothing and gear for 10 to 14 days, especially when utilizing the expansion feature.

What is the difference between ABS and Polycarbonate?

ABS is a lighter and more affordable plastic that is rigid but can be more brittle. Polycarbonate is more flexible and impact-resistant but usually comes at a much higher price point.

Does it fit within airline size limits?

Most major airlines accept 28-inch bags as standard checked luggage. However, always check your specific carrier's linear inch limits, as the wheels and handles add to the total exterior dimensions.

Are the wheels replaceable?

While the wheels are bolted on, they are not designed for quick-release replacement. If a wheel breaks, you would likely need to contact the manufacturer for specific repair parts.
