What it is

The SwissGear Sion Medium Checked Spinner offers a balanced approach to air travel, focusing on utility and flexible storage. Built with a heavy-duty polyester fabric, this softside suitcase provides enough give to accommodate bulky items while maintaining its shape through the rigors of baggage handling. Its 360 degree spinner wheels and telescopic handle make navigating busy terminal floors relatively effortless, even when the bag is fully loaded to its 70 liter capacity. Inside, the Sion shines with organizational features that go beyond a simple empty shell. The inclusion of a removable wet bag and multiple mesh pockets allows for cleaner separation of toiletries or laundry. While the 10 pound weight is standard for this class, the addition of an expansion zipper ensures you have the necessary room for souvenirs or extra clothing layers. It is a dependable choice for those who prefer the accessibility of exterior pockets and the flexibility of softside construction over rigid hard shells.

Ravvy AI insight

This suitcase hits the sweet spot for price versus longevity due to the reinforced scuff guards and SwissGear's consistent quality control. While it lacks a built in TSA lock despite the listing data, the robust zippers are easily secured with a standard padlock. For the best experience, use the expansion feature only when checking the bag to maintain stability and prevent tipping.

Prevent Tipping

When packing, place your heaviest items at the bottom near the wheels. This lowers the center of gravity and prevents the suitcase from falling forward when using the expansion zipper.

care

Cleaning the Fabric

Use a damp cloth with mild soap to spot clean the polyester exterior. Avoid harsh chemicals that could degrade the water resistant coating on the fabric.
