What it is

The Tineco Floor One S9 Artist Steam represents a significant leap in hard floor maintenance, combining the power of a wet-dry vacuum with the clinical sanitization of 320 degree HyperSteam technology. Unlike standard mop-vacs that merely scrub surface dirt, this unit liquefies stubborn grease and eliminates bacteria using high-temperature steam. Its standout physical feature is the ultra-slim lay-flat design, allowing the machine to compress down to 5 inches to reach under beds and low furniture where dust and grime typically accumulate unchecked. Beyond just suction and steam, the S9 Artist Steam addresses the most common pain points of wet-dry vacuums: hair tangling and damp odors. The DualBlock anti-tangle system uses a comb scraper to prevent clogs, while the Flashdry self-cleaning cycle uses 185 degree air to thoroughly dry the brush roller and internal pipes. This ensures the machine remains hygienic and ready for the next use without the manual labor of hand-washing components or dealing with a musty brush.

Ravvy AI insight

While the 75 minute runtime is impressive for standard vacuuming, the steam mode consumes battery much faster, limiting deep cleaning sessions to roughly 30 minutes. Buyers should prioritize this model if they have oily kitchen floors or pets, as the steam liquefies messes that mechanical scrubbing alone often struggles to lift.

Ownership tips

care

HEPA Filter Maintenance

To maintain the 22kPa suction power, wash the HEPA filter once a month with cold water and let it air dry for 24 hours. Never use the vacuum with a damp filter as it can damage the motor.

tip

Managing Deep Stains

For dried-on spills, hover the unit over the area in steam mode for 5 to 10 seconds before moving. The high-heat HyperSteam will loosen the bond, making it easier to suction up in one pass.

Frequently asked questions

Can this vacuum be used on area rugs?

The S9 Artist Steam is primarily designed for hard floors like hardwood, tile, and laminate. While it has high suction, the wet-dry and steam functions are not intended for deep cleaning carpets or rugs.

How long does the battery actually last?

In standard auto mode, you can expect up to 75 minutes of runtime. However, when using the continuous steam function, the runtime drops to approximately 30 minutes due to the high energy required to heat the water.

Does the self-cleaning cycle dry the brush?

Yes, it uses the Flashdry system which blows 185 degree hot air over the brush roller and through the internal tubes. This process takes only a few minutes and ensures the machine is dry and odor-free.

Is it heavy to push around?

Although it weighs 9.5 pounds, the 360 degree SmoothDrive system provides motorized assistance. This makes the vacuum feel very light and easy to steer during operation.
