What it is

The Ultimate Ears WONDERBOOM 4 continues the legacy of being one of the most resilient small speakers on the market. Its signature round design delivers 360 degree audio that punches well above its weight class, making it a reliable companion for beach days or camping trips. The inclusion of a dedicated Outdoor Boost button helps the audio cut through wind and open space, while the new Podcast Mode ensures spoken word content remains crisp and intelligible even in noisy environments. Beyond just sound, this speaker is built to survive the elements. With an IP67 rating, it is not only dustproof and waterproof but also floatable, which is a rare and highly practical feature for anyone spending time on the water. The transition to USB-C charging is a welcome modernization, though users should note that a cable is not included in the box. While it lacks a companion app for EQ adjustments, the simple on-device controls and easy stereo pairing make it incredibly user-friendly for those who want instant music without technical friction.

Ravvy AI insight

The WONDERBOOM 4 hits a sweet spot for durability, but the lack of an included USB-C cable is a minor inconvenience for first-time buyers. For the best value, consider buying a pair to utilize the stereo linking feature, as a single unit can struggle to fill very large open spaces despite the Outdoor Boost mode.
