What it is

The yoygerty wearable speaker is a compact solution for those who want their audio accessible without blocking their ears. Unlike traditional earbuds that isolate you from your surroundings, this device clips directly to your clothing or backpack, offering a personal sound bubble. It is particularly effective for outdoor enthusiasts who need to remain aware of traffic or trail sounds while enjoying music or podcasts. The inclusion of Bluetooth 5.4 ensures a stable connection even in high interference areas like gyms or city streets. Constructed with an IPX7 waterproof rating, this mini speaker is resilient enough to survive heavy rain or accidental submersion, making it a reliable companion for cycling or hiking in unpredictable weather. While its small 2.9 inch frame limits deep bass response, the 10-watt output provides surprising clarity for spoken word and mid-range frequencies. The physical buttons are tactile and easy to operate even while wearing gloves, solving a common frustration found with touch-sensitive wearable tech.

Ravvy AI insight

At its current price point, this speaker offers exceptional value due to its IPX7 rating and modern Bluetooth 5.4 chipset. Most budget wearables sacrifice water resistance, but this model is genuinely submersible, making it a smarter buy for rainy climates than higher priced non-waterproof competitors. Expect the 7-hour battery life to dip slightly if you frequently use the maximum 10-watt volume output.

How to get the most out of it

Optimizing Sound Projection

For the best audio experience, clip the speaker to your collar or shoulder strap rather than your waist. Positioning it closer to your ears allows you to keep the volume lower, which preserves battery life and reduces sound bleed to others.

Ownership tips

care

Maintaining Water Seals

After exposure to water, ensure the USB-C charging port is completely dry before plugging in the cable. While the exterior is waterproof, moisture inside the port during charging can cause electrical shorts.

tip

Enhancing Call Clarity

When using the speaker for hands-free calls in windy conditions, try to shield the device with a jacket flap. The noise-canceling tech works well, but physical wind blocks will significantly improve how your voice sounds to the recipient.

Frequently asked questions

Can I submerge this speaker in water?

Yes, the IPX7 rating means the speaker can be submerged in up to one meter of water for 30 minutes. It is perfectly safe for heavy rain, splashes, or accidental drops into puddles.

How long does it take to fully charge?

Thanks to the USB-C interface, the speaker typically reaches a full charge in about 1.5 to 2 hours. A short 15-minute charge can provide enough power for a quick morning run.

Will it stay attached during vigorous exercise?

The spring-loaded clip is designed for activity and holds firmly to backpack straps, shirt collars, or belts. However, it is most secure on thicker fabrics or ribbed materials.

Can others hear my music when I wear this?

Since this is an open-air speaker and not headphones, people within a few feet of you will hear your audio. It is best used in outdoor settings or private workspaces rather than quiet libraries.
