What it is

The Bedsure Calming Donut Bed targets the innate nesting instincts of small dogs and cats. Its raised circular rim acts as a supportive bolster for the head and neck, while the plush microfiber filling allows pets to burrow deep into the center. This design is particularly effective for animals that suffer from separation anxiety or those who prefer to curl into a tight ball during rest. The camel colored faux fur is dense and soft, providing a tactile sense of security that mimics a mother's coat. Practicality matches the comfort level in this 23 inch model. Unlike many luxury pet beds that require tedious hand washing, this entire unit is machine washable, making it easy to manage accidents or odors. The bottom features a non slip texture to ensure the bed stays stationary on hardwood or tile floors, preventing sliding when your pet jumps in. While it is designed for durability, its primary strength lies in its ability to provide a sensory refuge for pets under 25 pounds.

Ravvy AI insight

This bed ranks exceptionally high in owner sentiment because it balances a sub $25 price point with OEKO-TEX certified safety materials. While the 23 inch size is advertised for small dogs, the interior nesting area is compact, so owners of 20 to 25 pound dogs should verify their pet's curled diameter before purchasing.

Sizing for Comfort

Measure your pet while they are sleeping in their favorite curled position. If they are between sizes, always opt for the larger version to ensure the bolsters don't feel too restrictive.

Frequently asked questions

Is this bed suitable for a 25 pound dog?

While the weight limit is rated for 25 pounds, the 23 inch bed is best suited for pets that enjoy a very snug fit. For dogs at the top of the weight range who like a little extra room, the large size might be more comfortable.

Can the cover be removed for washing?

On this specific 23 inch model, the cover is not removable. Instead, the entire bed is designed to be placed directly into the washing machine, which simplifies the cleaning process for smaller units.

Will the non-slip bottom work on laminate floors?

Yes, the base is equipped with small silicone dots that provide grip on smooth surfaces like laminate, tile, and hardwood. This helps keep the bed in place when your pet enters or exits.

Is the material safe for pets with allergies?

The bed is made from OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified materials, meaning the fabrics have been tested for harmful substances. This makes it a safer choice for pets with sensitive skin or respiratory issues.
