What it is

The Bedsure Cat House Bed offers a clever two-in-one solution for indoor pets that crave both privacy and a vantage point. The ground floor serves as a secluded den with a side-mounted sisal scratching board, while the reinforced roof acts as a plush balcony for observation. Its modular design allows it to pop up in seconds using sturdy MDF panels, providing a surprisingly rigid structure that supports pets up to 20 pounds without sagging or buckling. Beyond just a sleeping spot, the unit addresses common feline instincts by including a hanging ball toy and a dedicated texture for scratching. The aesthetic is clean and modern, finished in a neutral grey lambswool that blends into most home decor. Maintenance is handled via reversible, machine washable covers, making it a practical choice for owners who want to keep pet odors at bay without a cumbersome cleaning process.

Ravvy AI insight

While marketed as a sturdy condo, the true value lies in its portability; it is one of the few cat houses that can be flat-packed for travel while still offering a rigid MDF frame. Owners should note that while the sisal board is a great addition, the light weight of the cube means it may slide during vigorous scratching unless placed against a wall or on a rug.

Ownership tips

tip

Placement for Stability

If your cat is a vigorous scratcher, place the cube in a corner or against a sofa. The added support prevents the house from sliding when they use the side sisal board.

care

Washing the Cushions

Wash the removable covers on a cold, gentle cycle to prevent the lambswool fabric from matting. Air drying is recommended to maintain the soft texture over time.

Frequently asked questions

Can this cat house hold a large cat?

The house is rated for pets up to 20 pounds. While the frame is sturdy enough to hold the weight, very large or long-bodied cats might find the 16.5-inch dimensions a bit tight for stretching out inside the den.

Is the scratching board replaceable?

The sisal scratching board is built into the side panel of the house and is not designed to be replaced individually. However, the durable sisal material is designed to withstand significant use before showing wear.

How difficult is it to assemble?

Assembly is extremely simple and requires no tools. You simply unfold the main walls, insert the base panel for stability, and place the lid and cushions on top. It can be set up or taken down in under a minute.

Does it have a chemical smell when opened?

The product uses CARB-certified MDF and pet-friendly materials, which helps minimize odors. Like any new fabric item, a brief period of airing out near a window is recommended if you notice a 'new product' scent.
