What it is

The ecobee Smart Thermostat Enhanced bridges the gap between basic programmable units and high end flagship models. It utilizes advanced radar technology for occupancy sensing, ensuring that you are only paying to heat or cool your home when people are actually present. The interface is crisp and intuitive, allowing for quick manual adjustments while the background software learns your habits to optimize energy savings without sacrificing comfort. Installation is remarkably user friendly, even for those with older HVAC systems lacking a C-wire. The included Power Extender Kit solves common wiring hurdles that often stop smart home upgrades in their tracks. By integrating with major platforms like Apple HomeKit and Amazon Alexa, this thermostat acts as a reliable hub for climate control that feels both premium and practical for everyday use.

Ravvy AI insight

While the Enhanced model lacks the zinc body and built in speaker of the Premium version, it retains the identical radar sensor technology which is the true driver of energy savings. This makes it the better value choice for users who already own smart speakers and simply need a highly accurate climate controller.
