What it is

The EGO Power+ ST1502LB combo kit bridges the gap between gas performance and battery convenience. The 15 inch string trimmer features a Rapid Reload head that solves the most common frustration of yard work by allowing you to thread new line without disassembling the spool. Its brushless motor provides consistent torque to slice through thick weeds without the vibration or fumes associated with traditional two-cycle engines. The included 530 CFM leaf blower is equally impressive, offering a variable speed dial for delicate work around mulch beds and a turbo button for clearing heavy, wet debris. Both tools operate on the universal 56V ARC Lithium platform, which remains cool during heavy use. This kit is a strategic entry point into the EGO ecosystem, providing the essential tools for a manicured look after every mow.

Ravvy AI insight

While the 2.5Ah battery keeps the tools lightweight and easy to maneuver, it is the smallest in EGO's lineup. For maximum value, use the blower on lower settings to preserve run time, as the turbo mode significantly accelerates battery drain. If you plan to add more EGO tools like a mower later, the interchangeable battery system makes this an excellent foundational purchase.

How to get the most out of it

Reloading the Trimmer Line

To use the Rapid Reload feature, simply align the arrows on the trimmer head and feed the line through until it is centered. Rotate the head to wind the line in seconds without taking anything apart. This prevents the tangled spools common with older manual designs.

Ownership tips

tip

Maximizing Blower Runtime

Use the variable speed dial to set the lowest effective air speed for the task at hand. Only engage the turbo button for heavy piles or wet leaves to ensure your 2.5Ah battery lasts for the entire yard. Steady, lower speeds are much more efficient for dry grass and sidewalk clearing.

Battery Storage Best Practices

Store your lithium ion battery and charger in a climate controlled environment rather than a hot garage or freezing shed. Keeping the battery at moderate temperatures helps maintain its overall capacity and extends the number of charge cycles over its lifespan.
