What it is

The Eureka Whirlwind NEN110A is a budget friendly powerhouse designed for those who prioritize agility over heavy duty features. Weighing just over eight pounds, this canister vacuum is exceptionally easy to carry between floors, making it a strong contender for multi story living. The bagless design paired with washable foam filters eliminates recurring costs, while the 2.5 liter dust bin provides more capacity than many competitors in this price bracket. Performance is strongest on hard floors and low pile rugs where the airflow control handle allows for quick suction adjustments. While the floor head lacks a motorized brush roll, it relies on pure suction and a simple toggle switch to move between surfaces. The integrated crevice tool is a thoughtful touch, ensuring you never misplace attachments while detailing upholstery or baseboards. It is a no-frills tool that focuses on the essentials of modern convenience.

Ravvy AI insight

At this price point, the NEN110A offers superior value by focusing on motor wattage and canister capacity rather than expensive motorized heads. Buyers should note that while the suction is high, the absence of a rotating brush means it will struggle to lift embedded pet hair from rugs, so it is best viewed as a secondary vacuum or a dedicated hard floor specialist.

How to get the most out of it

Optimizing Suction

Use the slide control on the handle to adjust airflow when moving from hardwood to rugs. Reducing suction slightly on rugs prevents the head from sealing too tightly to the fabric.

Ownership tips

care

Filter Maintenance

Wash the foam filter every 30 days under cold water and let it air dry completely for 24 hours. Using a damp filter can damage the motor and reduce suction power significantly.

tip

Hair Removal

Since there is no rotating brush, suction alone might not lift all hair from upholstery. Use the integrated dusting brush in a circular motion to loosen hair before vacuuming.

Frequently asked questions

Does this vacuum work well on thick carpets?

It is not recommended for medium to high pile carpets because it lacks a motorized brush roll. It excels on hard floors, laminate, and very low pile rugs.

How long is the power cord?

The cord is approximately 16 feet long. While shorter than some premium models, the automatic rewind feature makes it very convenient to store.

Can I use this for cleaning my car?
