What it is

The iBayam Heavy Duty Kitchen Scissors set offers an exceptional value proposition by providing two pairs of high quality shears for the price of one. These 8.66 inch shears feature hardened stainless steel blades that maintain their edge through repeated tasks like breaking down poultry or opening thick plastic packaging. The inclusion of two distinct color ways allows users to designate one pair for raw meat and the other for produce or general household tasks, effectively reducing the risk of cross contamination. Beyond just the kitchen, these shears are built with ergonomic comfort in mind. The handles feature a soft grip coating and integrated cushioning pads that absorb pressure, making them accessible for users with different hand sizes or grip strengths. While they are marketed as dishwasher safe, the brushed stainless steel construction benefits significantly from hand drying to prevent micro corrosion, ensuring these versatile tools remain a staple in your drawer for years.

Ravvy AI insight

These shears lead the market in owner sentiment due to their aggressive price to performance ratio. While they lack the take apart cleaning feature found in high end culinary shears, their durability in heavy duty tasks like cutting twine or cardboard makes them superior utility tools. For the best longevity, use the included sheaths to protect the blade edges from friction in crowded utensil drawers.

Ownership tips

care

Dry Immediately After Washing

Even though these are stainless steel, moisture trapped in the hinge can cause stiffness. Always hand dry with a soft cloth after washing to ensure smooth operation.

tip

Tighten the Pivot

If the blades feel loose after months of heavy use, a slight adjustment to the center screw can restore the original cutting tension. Do not over tighten as this may cause unnecessary friction.
