What it is

The Kacoomi Gravity Set provides a low tech yet effective way to ensure your pets stay fed and hydrated during workdays or short weekend trips. Each unit holds approximately 3.8 liters, allowing dry kibble and water to flow into the bowls as they are consumed without the need for batteries or messy power cords. The translucent bottles allow for at-a-glance monitoring so you never forget a refill, while the non-slip rubber feet prevent the units from sliding across hardwood or tile floors. Constructed from durable PET plastics, these units are designed to withstand the occasional nudge or pressure from eager eaters. The water dispenser specifically utilizes a spring valve and spiral neck to prevent leaks and overflows, maintaining a consistent water level in the basin. While these aren't high-tech smart feeders, their simplicity is their strength, offering a plug and play solution for busy pet owners who want to minimize daily chores.

Ravvy AI insight

For under thirty dollars, this set offers high utility but requires dry kibble to be a specific size to avoid bridge formation in the hopper. If your cat is a fast eater, gravity feeders can lead to overeating, so monitor their weight closely during the first month of use. The manual cleaning requirement is a minor drawback compared to the benefit of not worrying about power outages affecting meal times.

How to get the most out of it

Preventing Algae Growth

Place the water dispenser away from direct sunlight. Sunlight hitting the clear water reservoir can encourage algae growth, requiring more frequent deep cleanings.

Ownership tips

tip

Kibble Size Matters

Use small to medium sized dry kibble to ensure the food flows smoothly down the chute. Larger, irregular chunks may occasionally jam the opening and require a quick shake to loosen.

care

Sanitize Regularly

Wash the set once a week by hand using warm soapy water. Avoid the dishwasher as the high heat can warp the PET plastic and damage the waterer's seals.

Frequently asked questions

How long will the food and water last?

For a small cat or dog, the 3.8L capacity typically lasts about 7 days. For medium dogs, you can expect the supply to last roughly 3 days before needing a refill.

Does the waterer leak when you flip it over?

The waterer features a spring-loaded valve and spiral neck design. This prevents water from pouring out until the bottle is securely locked into the base, minimizing spills during refills.

Is this product BPA free?

The manufacturer uses 100 percent new PET material that is food-grade and safe for pets. It is designed to be pressure-resistant and durable for long-term daily use.

Can I use this for wet food?

No, this is strictly designed for dry kibble. Wet or canned food will not flow through the gravity chute and will quickly spoil if left in the open reservoir.
