What it is

The LEGO DC Batman Batmobile Tumbler 76240 is an ambitious construction project that translates the brutalist aesthetics of Christopher Nolan's trilogy into a complex plastic form. Standing as a significant upgrade from previous iterations, this model emphasizes scale and detail, utilizing over two thousand bricks to recreate the tank-like silhouette. The build process is intentionally methodical, offering a deep dive into advanced LEGO geometry that results in a heavy, imposing display piece that demands significant shelf space. Beyond the vehicle itself, the set functions as a dedicated collector's kit, complete with a specialized display stand and an information plaque. The inclusion of exclusive Batman and Joker minifigures, modeled after their appearances in the Dark Knight films, adds a layer of authenticity for cinematic purists. While it lacks functional steering or suspension, the internal cockpit detail and the sheer presence of the oversized tires make it a definitive centerpiece for any DC enthusiast's office or hobby room.

Ravvy AI insight

This set is priced for its licensing and piece count rather than playability. When building, pay close attention to the rear axle assembly, as the weight of the massive rear tires can make the structure difficult to move once completed. For the best investment value, keep the original box and ensure the exclusive Joker minifigure is kept in pristine condition, as unique movie-accurate figures drive long-term secondary market interest.

Lighting Options

Consider purchasing a third-party LED light kit. The dark interior and matte black exterior look significantly better when internal cockpit lights and tailpipe effects are added.

Dust Management

Because of the many nooks and crannies in the armored plating, use a soft makeup brush or compressed air to clean it. Avoid wet cloths which can leave streaks on the black bricks.
