What it is

The LEGO Speed Champions Ferrari SF-24 F1 Race Car brings the 2024 season to your shelf with impressive accuracy for its 275-piece count. This set captures the aerodynamic essence of the real vehicle, featuring the mandatory halo safety bar, a distinct rear wing, and wider rear tires that bear the official Pirelli branding. Unlike older 6-stud wide models, this 8-stud wide design allows for a more realistic silhouette and a driver minifigure that fits comfortably in the cockpit wearing authentic Scuderia Ferrari racing gear. Building this set offers a satisfying balance of technical assembly and aesthetic finish. It relies on a combination of clever brick-built geometry and a detailed sticker sheet to replicate the complex sponsor logos and livery colors. While it is marketed for ages 10 and up, the sophisticated techniques used for the front wing and sidepods make it just as appealing to adult collectors who want a compact display piece that does not take up the space of a Technic model.

Ravvy AI insight

For the best display impact, consider purchasing the acrylic display cases designed for Speed Champions to keep dust out of the complex wing elements. If you are buying for a child, be prepared to assist with the sticker application, as precise placement is critical for the livery to look seamless. This model holds its value well among LEGO enthusiasts due to the official Ferrari licensing and the inclusion of the unique 2024 Pirelli tire molds.

How to get the most out of it

Ensure Proper Wheel Clearance

When snapping the wheels onto the axles, ensure they are pushed in completely but not so tight that they rub against the chassis. This allows the car to roll smoothly on flat surfaces.

Ownership tips

tip

Use Tweezers for Stickers

Many of the sponsor logos are small and require precision. Using a pair of tweezers to align the stickers will result in a much cleaner, professional-looking display model.

care

Clean with Compressed Air

The complex nooks and crannies of the F1 wings are magnets for dust. Use a can of compressed air or a soft makeup brush to clean the model without knocking off small pieces.
