What it is

The LEGO Vespa 125 is a sophisticated build that captures the essence of 1960s Italian design through its soft pastel blue bricks and elegant curves. Released to celebrate Vespa's 75th anniversary, this set moves away from the technical focus of the Technic line and emphasizes aesthetic display value. Builders will appreciate the inclusion of period-accurate details such as the side-mounted engine under a removable cover, a spare tire, and a functioning kickstand that makes it look like a piece of art on a shelf. While the build process is generally smooth, the set relies on some intricate stacking techniques to achieve the scooter's iconic rounded frame. The addition of lifestyle accessories like a vintage helmet and a basket of flowers adds a touch of personality that sets it apart from standard vehicle models. It serves as a decorative bridge between traditional brick building and high-end home decor, making it a standout choice for those who value style as much as the construction process.

Ravvy AI insight

This set is unique for its use of the rare light blue color palette, which adds significant value for collectors looking for unique pieces. Unlike many LEGO cars, this build is intended for static display, so we recommend placing it in a low-traffic area as the side panels can be easily dislodged during handling.

Secure the Side Panels

Ensure the clips for the side engine covers are fully seated. If the panels feel loose, re-check the internal support structure as a single misaligned brick can affect the fit.
