What it is

The LISEN 84W Retractable Car Charger is a sophisticated solution for the modern driver tired of tangled cables cluttering the center console. By integrating two 31.5-inch retractable cords one USB-C and one Lightning into a single housing, this device eliminates the need for loose wires while providing dedicated ports for two additional devices. Its 180-degree pivoting head ensures that the unit fits comfortably in various cabin layouts without obstructing gear shifts or cup holders. Performance is anchored by a 45W PD output on the primary USB-C cable, which is sufficient for fast-charging the latest smartphones and even some tablets. The shockproof design and military-grade construction mean it maintains a consistent connection even when driving over potholes or rough terrain. It is important to note that this is a power-only device; while it excels at high-speed charging, it does not support data syncing for wired CarPlay or Android Auto systems.

Ravvy AI insight

This charger stands out because it balances high wattage with mechanical utility. When comparing it to standard adapters, the 45W PD dedicated line is the highlight, as many multi-port chargers throttle speeds significantly when all ports are occupied. To ensure longevity, always follow the specific 'pull and release' mechanism to avoid tensioning the internal spring.

How to get the most out of it

Proper Retraction Technique

To retract the cables safely, pull the cord out about one centimeter further until you feel the lock release, then guide it back slowly. Letting go abruptly can cause the cable to whip and potentially damage the internal spring.

Ownership tips

tip

Check Your Socket Depth

Ensure your 12V socket is free of debris before plugging in. The high-wattage draw requires a flush, stable connection to prevent overheating or intermittent charging.

care

Cable Maintenance

Avoid kinking the cables at sharp angles when they are fully extended. Wiping the cords occasionally with a dry microfiber cloth prevents dust build-up from entering the retraction housing.
