What it is

The EGOHOME 12 inch Copper Gel mattress addresses the primary complaint of memory foam users: heat retention. By combining a graphene-infused cover with copper-infused memory foam, this mattress creates a thermal bridge that pulls heat away from the body more effectively than standard foam. The three-layer construction provides a classic medium feel that balances the initial sink of memory foam with a stable base layer, ensuring you do not feel like you are bottoming out on the bed frame. Safety is a central focus for this MLILY-manufactured model, as it is constructed entirely without fiberglass. This is a significant advantage for long-term health and maintenance, avoiding the microscopic shards often found in budget foam mattresses. While it is marketed as a medium firmness, the all-foam design is particularly well-suited for side and back sleepers who need specific contouring around the shoulders and hips to maintain spinal alignment throughout the night.

Ravvy AI insight

This mattress punches above its weight class by using graphene and copper, materials typically reserved for premium brands. However, buyers should note the 300-pound weight limit is lower than many hybrids, suggesting this is best suited for single sleepers or lighter couples to ensure the foam maintains its loft.

How to get the most out of it

Unboxing and Expansion

Unroll the mattress in the room where it will stay. While it may look ready in 2 hours, wait at least 12 hours before sleeping on it to allow the copper-infused cells to fully oxygenate and reach their true medium firmness.

Ownership tips

tip

Maximize Cooling

To get the most out of the graphene cover, use breathable cotton or bamboo sheets. Heavy polyester sheets can act as a barrier and trap the heat the mattress is trying to dissipate.

care

Protecting the Foam

Since the cover is hand wash only and the mattress cannot be returned once opened, use a waterproof, breathable mattress protector to prevent stains and sweat buildup from degrading the foam.

Frequently asked questions

Does this mattress contain fiberglass?

No, this mattress is specifically manufactured to be fiberglass-free. It uses alternative fire-retardant methods to ensure safety without the risk of irritating glass fibers entering your home.

How firm does this mattress feel?

It is rated as a medium. It provides the characteristic hug of memory foam but is supported by a high-density base that prevents a stuck feeling for most average-weight sleepers.

Can I return this if I don't like it?

The manufacturer states there is no trial period for this model. Once the mattress is opened and expanded, it cannot be returned, so ensure the medium firmness and foam profile fit your needs before purchasing.
