What it is

The MOVA V50 Ultra Complete stands out in a crowded market by solving two of the most persistent issues in robotic cleaning: low clearance heights and high floor thresholds. Its unique FlexiRise navigation allows the LDS sensor to retract when entering low profile areas like the space under a sofa, effectively slimming down the unit to reach dirt that other high end models simply cannot access. Coupled with the StepMaster system, this robot can scale vertical obstacles up to 1.6 inches, making it a rare solution for homes with significant transitions between rooms or deep plush rugs. Beyond its physical agility, the V50 Ultra delivers a massive 24,000Pa of suction, currently sitting at the top of the industry for raw power. It uses a dual brush system designed specifically to prevent hair wrap, which is a major relief for long haired residents or pet owners. The mopping system is equally advanced, utilizing warm water and a dual chemical dispensing system to tackle dried spills while the JetSpray washboard keeps the pads clean during the cycle to prevent cross contamination across your flooring.

Ravvy AI insight

The V50 Ultra solves the 'LDS dilemma' where advanced navigation usually adds height to the robot; its retractable sensor is a genuine hardware innovation for cleaning under platform beds. While the 24,000Pa suction is impressive, users should focus on the StepMaster wheels as the primary selling point if their home has thick transition strips that trap standard robots. Given the included one year accessory kit, the upfront price provides better long term value than competitors requiring monthly filter and bag purchases.

Frequently asked questions

How high of a threshold can the V50 Ultra climb?

The StepMaster system allows the robot to overcome vertical steps up to 1.6 inches and slanted sleepers up to 2.36 inches. This is significantly higher than the standard 0.75 inch limit found on most competitors.

Does the sensor really retract?

Yes, the FlexiRise LDS sensor lowers into the body of the robot when it detects a low hanging obstacle. This reduces the total height of the unit, allowing it to clean under couches and cabinets that other robots would bump into.

Is the 24,000Pa suction too loud for pets?

At its maximum setting, the suction is powerful and audible. However, the app allows you to adjust the power levels for different rooms or times of day, so you can use a quieter mode when you are home.

What is included in the Complete kit?

The Complete package includes a full year of consumables, featuring 12 mop pads, 3 dust bags, 3 filters, and two types of specialized cleaning solutions. You will not need to buy replacement parts for a long time.
