What it is

The Shark Stratos 2-in-1 marks a significant evolution in hands-free home maintenance by combining high-frequency sonic mopping with an advanced NeverTouch base station. Unlike standard robots that merely drag a damp cloth, this model utilizes 100 scrubs per minute to tackle dried spills and stubborn grime. The base station is the real standout, handling the messy tasks of emptying the dustbin, refilling the water tank, and actively washing and drying the mop pads to prevent odors and bacteria growth. Beyond just cleaning floors, the Stratos addresses environmental air quality with its HEPA filtration and Odor Neutralizer technology. The Edge Detect feature uses targeted air blasts to push debris out of corners and away from baseboards, solving a common pain point where round robots typically fail. While the initial setup requires careful mapping of carpet zones, the result is a highly autonomous system that can manage a multi-surface home for up to two months without significant human intervention.

Ravvy AI insight

This model offers a competitive alternative to premium European brands by integrating mop drying into the base, a feature often reserved for much more expensive units. To maximize performance, ensure the robot completes a full exploration map before enabling sonic mopping to prevent accidental dampening of expensive rugs.

Clear all small objects and cables from the floor during the first two runs. This allows the robot to create an accurate map of your floor plan, which is essential for setting effective no-go carpet zones.

Base Station Maintenance

While the base washes the pads, you should still check the dirty water tank weekly to prevent biofilm buildup. A quick rinse with warm water will keep the system smelling fresh.
