What it is

The Novilla Bliss King Mattress targets the common complaints of memory foam by integrating two distinct cooling technologies. The surface uses a nylon and plant-fiber blend that feels immediately cool to the touch, while the internal gel-infused memory foam works to dissipate body heat throughout the night. This 12-inch profile provides a medium-firm feel that balances initial softness with a dense support core, making it a reliable choice for those who need pressure relief without feeling like they are trapped in the material. Built with three layers of foam, this mattress focuses heavily on motion isolation and edge stability. The combination of high-density base foam and responsive cushioning layers ensures that movement from a partner or pet stays localized. Furthermore, the inclusion of CertiPUR-US and OEKO-TEX certifications offers reassurance regarding chemical emissions and fabric safety, which is a significant value add for a mattress at this price point. It arrives compressed in a box, making it manageable for setup even in tighter bedroom spaces.

Ravvy AI insight

For the best performance, pair this mattress with a slatted frame or a solid platform to maximize the breathability of the 12-inch foam stack. While the cooling cover is effective, using a thick, non-breathable mattress protector may negate the thermal benefits of the NanoGEL layer. Given its medium firmness, side sleepers will likely find the most comfort as it provides the necessary hip and shoulder sinkage for spinal alignment.

How to get the most out of it

Speeding Up Expansion

Unbox the mattress in a well-ventilated, warm room. Heat helps the foam cells expand to their full 12-inch height more quickly than in a cold environment.

Ownership tips

tip

Choosing the Right Protector

To maintain the cooling benefits of the ice-touch cover, look for a bamboo or Tencel mattress protector. Plastic-backed waterproof liners can trap heat and block the gel airflow.

care

Rotation Schedule

Rotate the mattress 180 degrees every 3 to 6 months. This ensures even wear and prevents permanent body impressions from forming in the memory foam layers.

Frequently asked questions

Does this mattress require a box spring?

No, this mattress is compatible with all standard bed frames including slats, platforms, and adjustable bases. Ensure slats are no more than 3 inches apart for optimal support.

How long does it take to fully expand?

While it may look ready in a few hours, it typically takes 48 to 72 hours to reach its full loft and firmness. Sleeping on it sooner can actually help the process through body heat and pressure.

Is there a strong chemical smell after unboxing?

Like most memory foam products, there may be a slight 'new mattress' scent. This is normal and the CertiPUR-US certification ensures the emissions are low and non-toxic; it should dissipate within 24 hours in a ventilated room.

Is the cover removable and washable?

The manufacturer recommends hand washing for spot cleaning only. Using a mattress protector is highly advised to keep the surface clean without damaging the cooling fibers.
