What it is

The Novilla Bliss King Size Mattress stands out in the crowded budget bedding market by offering a genuine 12 inch profile that prioritizes thermal regulation. Its triple layer foam construction starts with a NanoGel infused top layer designed to pull heat away from the body, addressing the common complaint of overheating associated with traditional memory foam. The mid-level comfort layer and high-density base work in tandem to provide a medium-plush feel that caters specifically to side and back sleepers seeking joint relief without a sinking sensation. Beyond just comfort, this mattress is built with practical living in mind. The inclusion of plant-infused fibers helps neutralize odors over time, while the motion isolation properties are impressive for a mattress at this price point. While it lacks the extreme edge rigidity of high-end hybrid models, the reinforced foam perimeter provides enough stability for most couples to utilize the full surface area of the king size dimensions without feeling like they might slide off.

Ravvy AI insight

At under three hundred dollars for a king size, the value-to-performance ratio is exceptionally high. Data suggests that while the 72-hour expansion period is standard, placing it in a well-ventilated room with consistent temperature helps the gel cells stabilize faster for optimal firmness.

How to get the most out of it

Optimizing Expansion

Unbox the mattress in the room where it will stay. Ensure the room is warm, as cold temperatures can slow down the memory foam expansion process significantly.

Ownership tips

tip

Foundation Choice

Use a slatted frame with gaps no wider than 3 inches or a solid platform. Proper support prevents the foam from sagging and preserves the 10-year warranty.

care

Keeping it Fresh

While the cover is breathable, use a waterproof mattress protector. This prevents sweat and spills from reaching the foam layers, which cannot be easily cleaned.

Frequently asked questions

Does this mattress have a strong chemical smell?

The Novilla Bliss is CertiPUR-US certified, meaning it has low VOC emissions. While a slight 'new foam' scent may exist upon opening, it typically dissipates within 24 to 48 hours in a ventilated room.

Is this mattress firm enough for back pain?

It is rated as Medium-Plush. It offers excellent spinal alignment for side and back sleepers, but those who require an extra-firm surface for medical reasons might find it too soft.

Can I sleep on it immediately after unboxing?

You can lie on it after a few hours, but it won't reach its full 12-inch height or intended firmness for up to 72 hours. Sleeping on it early can actually help the foam air out.

Does the gel really keep you cool?

The NanoGel layer and breathable cover work together to move heat away better than traditional foam. However, extremely hot sleepers should still use moisture-wicking bamboo or cotton sheets.
