What it is

The Tub Works Kids Bath Bomb Potion moves beyond the standard spherical bath bomb by introducing a flask design that encourages active play. Instead of just dropping a ball into the water, children act as little scientists by pouring water into the container to trigger a bubbly, foaming eruption. This mechanical interaction keeps toddlers engaged longer than traditional dissolvable products while providing a gentle introduction to basic cause and effect and chemical reactions. The formulation is specifically designed for younger skin, omitting harsh parabens and phthalates while focusing on vivid color output. While the 'eruption' is visually striking, the mixture is engineered to be non-staining for standard non-porous tubs, ensuring that the cleanup is as simple as a quick rinse. The six pack variety offers a range of themes like Galaxy and Enchanted, providing enough supply for nearly a week of high energy bath sessions.

Ravvy AI insight

Compared to standard bath bombs, the flask format provides better value by allowing controlled release; you can add water slowly to prolong the fizzing effect rather than losing the entire reaction at once. The high review volume suggests consistent quality control regarding the non-staining claim, but users should always ensure their tub finish is intact to prevent pigment trapping.

Control the Eruption

To make the foam last longer, add only a small amount of warm water to the flask at a time. Shaking the flask gently after adding water can also help reactivate any powder settled at the bottom.

Ownership tips

tip

Maximize Educational Value

Use this as a chance to talk about colors and chemistry. Ask your child to predict what happens when the water hits the powder to foster early scientific thinking.

care

Prevent Tub Stains

Always rinse the tub immediately after the bath while the water is still warm. This prevents the concentrated pigments from drying on the surface, which is when staining is most likely to occur.

Frequently asked questions

Will these potions stain my bathtub or towels?

These are formulated to be non-staining for most standard tubs. However, it is recommended to use them only in non-porous tubs that are in good repair, as older tubs with worn enamel may absorb pigments.

Are these safe for children with sensitive skin?

Yes, the formula is nontoxic and free from parabens and phthalates. As with any scented bath product, a small patch test is recommended if your child has known skin allergies.

How many baths does one six-pack provide?

Each flask is intended for a single bath session. With six flasks in the variety pack, you get six full scientific bath experiences.

What is the recommended age for this product?

The manufacturer recommends this for children ages 3 and up. Younger children may enjoy the visual effect, but require close adult supervision to prevent ingestion of the powder or water.
