What it is

The Vice Pro Plus Gold is engineered for golfers who demand high-level performance without the luxury brand markup. Featuring a four-piece construction and an extra-thin cast urethane cover, this ball is designed to maximize distance off the tee while maintaining the soft feel and high spin rates necessary for precise short-game control. It competes directly with premium tour balls by offering a stable flight path and excellent feedback on impact. What sets the Gold edition apart is its striking metallic finish, which provides high visibility on the fairway and a unique look in the bag. Beyond the aesthetics, the dual-casing design helps reduce driver spin for longer carries while the urethane outer layer grips the clubface for aggressive stopping power on the greens. This is a technical ball built for high swing speeds and players who prioritize shot-shaping and scoring consistency.

Ravvy AI insight

While the gold finish is high-visibility, it serves as a premium aesthetic choice for players who want to stand out. From a technical standpoint, this ball performs best for those swinging the driver over 105 mph to fully compress the four-piece core. If your swing speed is lower, you might find the compression too firm for optimal distance.

Ownership tips

tip

Swing Speed Check

Ensure your driver swing speed is at least 100 to 105 mph. This ball is designed with a firmer compression that requires higher speeds to achieve maximum distance.

care

Maintain the Finish

Keep these balls in a soft pouch rather than loose in a pocket with metal tees. The gold finish is durable but can be scratched by sharp objects, affecting its shimmer.
